Mission Statement

Western Turbine Users Inc. (WTUI) exists to provide members a forum for the exchange of technical, operations and maintenance information and experience to improve reliability and economic viability of GE LM series power facilities.

Description

WTUI is a membership organization of GE LM2500, LM5000, and LM6000 users, manufacturers, and suppliers. The organization is a California Corporation funded through annual membership and conference fees. WTUI was founded in 1990 and has approximately 80 power facilities represented and over 100 suppliers. OEMs and suppliers support WTUI through their participation in the annual conference and in technical discussions.

Board of Directors

The Board is comprised of up to seven Directors serving three year staggered terms. Voting members at the annual conference elect directors. Directors must be voting members as described below.

Membership

Voting Members - persons or business entities which own or are directly engaged in the operation or maintenance of Power Plants.

OEM Affiliates - GE and packagers of GE LM series gas turbines.

Associates - Suppliers and vendors who provide O&M support to power facilities which use GE LM gas turbines.

Meetings

Board meetings are scheduled approximately seven times per year. Meeting dates can be obtained from the Conference Director.

An annual Conference is held each year, usually in March, at a western region location. The annual Conference is the primary forum for information dissemination and discussion among members, affiliates, and associates.

In addition, OEMs and vendors display their latest hardware and services in an exhibit hall. Based on member interest, a one day Fall Conference may be held, to discuss a specific technical issue, with limited participation
